Let us make our way

through the dark

through the darkness

to the awful place.

Let us face our fears

outfacing them

with

a sliver of determining

to do the best by

our Lord

pouching the perfumes

the unguents

in this ungentle dawn

this morn

this mourning

which gnaws like fire

this weight

this waiting

for our hearts to

BREAK

this heaviness

this heaving

this hopelessness.

Come!

If we are to make our way

through the dark streets

to the aweful place

where the LIGHT

shines in the darkness
