THE LITTLE CATERPILLAR
A very sad story about a little caterpillar. It always makes Froggie cry. The Caterpillar sat on the branch of a tree; Hungry little caterpillar Waiting for his tea. He’d really rather sit and munch A tasty, juicy leaf for lunch.

THE LITTLE CATERPILLAR
The Caterpillar sat
on the branch of a tree;
Hungry little caterpillar
Waiting for his tea.
He’d really rather sit
and munch
A tasty, juicy leaf
for lunch.
Instead, alas,
A greedy bird
Will eat him up
Because it heard
Him singing songs
About his tea
Sitting on the branch
Of the Butterfly Tree.
“Oh, how I wish
I were with mum.”
He groaned inside
The Big Bird’s tum.
But sadly, he’s now squelchy mush
Within the belly of a thrush. ☹ A.R. Garner 230412
